대구대학교 창업지원단과 대구대학교기술지주(주) 컨소시엄이 ‘2021년 대구특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업’에 7년 연속 선정됐다.

연구개발특구진흥재단이 주관하는 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업은 유망 아이템(기술)을 보유한 예비창업자들과 초기단계의 창업자들을 대상으로 창업의 전반적인 지원을 통해 창업아이템 발굴·검증, 투자, 멘토링, 기술이전 등 기술 창업 고도화를 목표로 하는 사업이다.

4일, 대구대에 따르면 작년 기업가 정신 등 필수·심화교육 프로그램을 운영했고, 전문가 POOL인 DU-액셀러레이터즈를 활용하여 단계별·분야별 전문가를 예비창업자들과 매칭하여 아이템 구체화, 시제품 개발, 사업화, 마케팅 등에 이르는 창업 과정을 코칭했다. 

또한 기술사업화를 위한 시제품 제작, 실험에 소요되는 사업화 자금, 창업자 아이템 및 특허기술 매칭을 통한 사업 아이템 고도화를 지원했으며, 창업지원사업 연계, 투자 및 홍보, 네트워크 구축 등 다양한 후속 지원을 통해 창업기업을 지속적으로 성장시켰다.

이외에도 지난 2015년부터 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업을 추진하면서 6년간 창업 107건, 고용 196명, 투자(직접/연계) 42억 원 이상 등 다양한 분야에서 창업지원 성과를 달성한 것으로 알려진다.

이재현 대구대 창업지원단장은 “이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업의 지속적 운영은 대학 내 건실한 기술창업 인프라와 지역사회의 기술창업 성과 확산을 이룰 기회”라며 “대학 건학이념에 적합한 지역의 기술창업 선도대학이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
