【브레이크뉴스 】이성현 기자=대구시가 스케일 업 등 혁신창업 집중 지원을 통한 본격적인 K-유니콘 육성에 나선다.

대구시는 2021년 63개 사업에 550억원 규모의 지원을 통해 창업활성화와 창업역량강화, 스케일업 지원, 창업투자생태계 강화에 박차를 가한다.

대구창조경제혁신센터에서는 지역 대학의 창업동아리 주도 아이디어 교류의 장인 클러치(Clutch)사업을 추진하고 이를 통한 청년창업을 지원할 예정이다.

또한 고부가가치형 미래신산업 스타트업 육성을 위한 시범사업으로 한국가스공사와 함께 그린뉴딜 스타트업 20개사 발굴 및 역량강화를 지원하며 아울러 올해 창업성장 도약기 기업을 집중 육성할 전문창업보육센터로 동대구벤처밸리에 ‘기업성장지원센터’를 개소해 기술창업 역량강화 및 글로벌 스타벤처를 육성할 계획이다.

또한 스케일업 지원 프로그램인 스타벤처육성사업 및 대구TIPS(민간투자주도 기술창업지원프로그램) 사업을 통해 유망기업을 발굴하고 맞춤형 패키지로 지원을 이어갈 계획이다. 

올해부터는 중소벤처기업부의 아기유니콘, 예비유니콘 진입을 위한 ‘K유니콘 진입TF’를 운영해 많은 스타트업들이 정부사업 지원을 받도록 도울 예정이다.

김태운 대구시 일자리투자국장은 “혁신창업 생태계 조성 노력의 결과로 창업 인프라 구축과 함께 기술·벤처 창업의 양적 성장을 이루었다”며, “더 나아가 유망기업의 스케일업 지원확대로 창업지원 최초 K-유니콘 기업이 지역에서 배출될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
