대구시는 정부가 겨울철 난방지원 대책으로 난방비를 대폭 인상 지원 결정한 것에 대응하여, 기존 난방지원사업의 지원 사각지대에 있는 취약계층에 대해 난방비를 지급할 계획이다.
지원대상은 정부 에너지바우처 지원대상에서 제외된 기초생활보장수급 대상 4만 1천여 가구와 난방비 지원제도의 사각지대인 차상위계층 1만 7천여 가구를 포함해 총 5만 8천여 가구에 가구당 10만 원을 지급하여 총 58억 원 규모로 지원할 계획이다.
사회복지시설은 운영비 내에서 난방비를 우선 사용하도록 안내하고, 경로당은 난방비 월 37만 원이 부족할 경우 추가지원을 검토할 예정이다.
홍준표 대구시장은 “난방비 특별지원을 통해 정부 난방비 지원에서 소외된 취약계층에 더욱 도탑고 따뜻한 겨울나기에 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 한다”고 밝혔다.
