달성문화재단(이사장 김문오)은 2022 달천예술창작공간의 제2기 입주 작가 6인을 선정했다고 8일 밝혔다.
이번에 선정된 달천예술창작공간의 제2기 입주 작가들은 김재홍(평면), 박두리(평면), 박지훈(미디어), 배혜진(설치), 이숙현(미디어), 이승희(설치) 작가로 오는 17일부터 10개월 동안 입주하여 창작활동을 위한 다양한 지원을 받게 된다.
입주작가들에게는 냉난방 및 수도시설이 완비된 개별 스튜디오가 제공되며 매월 창작지원금이 지급된다.
또 기획전시를 비롯한 교류전, 특별전 등 다양한 전시 참여, 평론가 매칭, 오픈스튜디오, 지역민들을 대상으로 한 교육 및 체험활동 등 여러 인큐베이팅 프로그램 지원을 받게된다.
달천예술창작공간은 창작활동 지원과 지역의 문화예술 발전, 지역민들의 문화예술 향유 기회 확대를 위해 운영되는 복합문화공간으로 유휴공간이었던 폐교를 리모델링하여 지난 2021년 4월 개관했다.
대구시 내 기초문화재단 중에서는 최초로 레지던시 프로그램을 운영하며 주목을 받았고 다양한 인큐베이팅 프로그램 지원을 통해 평면, 설치, 입체 등 여러 분야에서 활동하는 여섯 명의 제2기 작가들과 함께 여러 유의미한 결과를 창출한 바 있다.
