【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 달성군청 정구부는 지난 6일부터 12일까지 문경에서 열린 ‘제100회 동아일보기 전국소프트테니스대회’에서 개인단식 우승, 단체전 준우승을 차지하는 쾌거를 이루었다고 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 70개 대한체육회 회원종목 단체 중 가장 오래된 대회로 올해 100주년을 맞이하여 동아일보사 및 대한소프트테니스협회 등이 주최·주관했다.
달성군청 정구부는 이번 대회에서 전 종목에 참가하여 개인단식 우승을 차지했다. 개인단식에서 김형근(25·남)선수가 수원시청과의 경기에서 4대 3으로 꺾고 우승을 차지하는 쾌거를 이루었다.
김문오 달성군수는“큰 대회에서 우수한 성적을 거둬 달성군을 빛내준 선수단이 자랑스럽다.”며“앞으로도 좋은 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 최선을 다해주길 바란다.”고 밝혔다.
