근대골목 척척박사 관광명소 거점 해설은, 외국어 통역이 가능한 중구 골목문화해설사들이 2인 1조로 구성되어 토요일 오후 2시에서 4시까지 동성로 등 관광명소에 방문하는 외국인과 개별 관광객들에게 중구 근대골목을 안내하고 해설하며 골목투어를 홍보하는 프로그램이다.
또 중구 관광명소에 근대체험 인력거를 비치하여 시민들에게 인력거체험과 근대골목 관광해설을 지원하고, 단체나 초등학교의 신청을 받아 찾아가는 근대골목 척척박사를 운영하여 근대골목에 대한 역사문화자원을 설명해 준다.
류규하 중구청장은 “우리 중구가 가진 풍부한 근대문화 관광자원을 관광안내소를 통한 안내뿐만 아니라, 시민들에게 직접 찾아가서 널리 알리고자 척척박사 프로그램을 운영하게 되었다”고 밝혔다.대구
