이번 참가단은 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 주관하는 ‘제조업 AI 융합 기반 조성사업’의 일환으로 파견됐으며, 세계 최대 산업기술 전시회 중 하나인 독일 ‘하노버메세’는 AI, 스마트팩토리, 자동화, 로보틱스, 에너지 솔루션 등 첨단 기술이 총망라되는 글로벌 무대다.

포항TP는 3월 31일부터 4월 5일까지 진행된 이번 전시회에 포항과 구미 등 경북지역의 우수 AI 기업 5개사를 이끌고 참가했다. 참여 기업은 △㈜포인드(대표 이채수) △㈜감소프트(대표 최성열) △㈜임팩티브에이아이(대표 정두희) △열림정보시스템㈜(대표 박정호) △에이엠스퀘어㈜(대표 황형주)로, 모두 철강산업 현장에 특화된 AI 기술을 상용화 및 실증한 이력을 보유하고 있다.

특히, ㈜포인드는 전시회 현장에서 네덜란드의 Axelera AI사와 NPU 기반 AI 솔루션 관련 기술협력 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하며 유럽 시장 진출 가능성을 높였다. ㈜임팩티브에이아이는 박람회 메인 컨퍼런스에 발표자로 나서, AI 기반 재고 관리 및 공급망 최적화 방안을 제시해 글로벌 바이어들의 높은 관심을 끌었다.

현장에서 이뤄진 120건 이상의 비즈니스 상담은 약 190만 달러(한화 약 28억 원) 규모에 달했으며, “한국의 AI 기술은 생산성과 지속 가능성 모두를 실현하고 있다”는 현지 업계의 호평도 이어졌다.

이채수 ㈜포인드 대표는 “경북에서 개발된 AI 기술이 유럽 시장에서 주목받고 있다는 점에서 국제 경쟁력을 체감한 의미 있는 자리였다”며, “앞으로의 글로벌 확장에 자신감을 얻었다”고 소감을 전했다.

배영호 포항TP 원장은 “이번 하노버메세 참가는 지역 기업의 기술력과 실증 역량을 세계에 입증하는 계기가 됐다”며, “향후에도 AI 등 첨단 기술을 중심으로 기업들의 해외 진출과 글로벌 네트워킹을 위한 전략적 지원을 지속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

포항TP는 앞으로도 철강산업과 연계한 제조 AI 기술을 중심으로 국내외 시장 개척 및 투자 유치, 기술 협력 기반 확대에 박차를 가할 계획이다.

 Pohang TP, Hanover Messe in Germany, Supports Global Expansion of Local AI Companies… Knocking on the Door of the European Market

The Gyeongbuk Digital Innovation Headquarters of Pohang Technopark (Director Bae Young-ho) participated in the ‘2025 Hanover Messe’ to help promising local AI companies enter the global market and began to attack the European market.

This delegation was dispatched as part of the ‘Manufacturing AI Convergence Base Creation Project’ hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). Germany’s ‘Hanover Messe’, one of the world’s largest industrial technology exhibitions, is a global stage that encompasses cutting-edge technologies such as AI, smart factories, automation, robotics, and energy solutions.

Pohang TP led five excellent AI companies from the Gyeongbuk region, including Pohang and Gumi, to participate in this exhibition held from March 31 to April 5. The participating companies are Point Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Chae-soo), Gamsoft Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Seong-yeol), Impactive AI Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Du-hee), Open Information System Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jeong-ho), and AM Square Co., Ltd. (CEO Hwang Hyeong-ju), all of which have a history of commercializing and demonstrating AI technologies specialized for the steel industry.

In particular, Point Co., Ltd. signed a **MOU on technology cooperation related to NPU-based AI solutions with Axelera AI of the Netherlands** at the exhibition site, increasing the possibility of entering the European market. Impactive AI Co., Ltd. appeared as a presenter at the main conference of the exhibition and presented AI-based inventory management and supply chain optimization plans, drawing great attention from global buyers.

More than 120 business consultations held at the site amounted to approximately USD 1.9 million (KRW 2.8 billion), and there was also favorable feedback from the local industry that “Korean AI technology is realizing both productivity and sustainability.”

Lee Chae-soo, CEO of Poind Co., Ltd., said, “It was a meaningful opportunity to experience the international competitiveness of AI technology developed in Gyeongbuk, which is receiving attention in the European market,” and added, “I gained confidence in future global expansion.”

Bae Young-ho, CEO of Pohang TP, said, “This participation in Hannover Messe was an opportunity to prove to the world the technological prowess and proven capabilities of local companies,” and added, “We will continue to provide strategic support for companies’ overseas expansion and global networking centered on cutting-edge technologies such as AI.”

Pohang TP plans to continue to spur domestic and international market development, investment attraction, and expansion of the technology cooperation base centered on manufacturing AI technology linked to the steel industry.
