모집 대상은 포항시에 본사와 주사업장을 둔 제조업 또는 지식기반 서비스업 분야의 법인 중소기업으로, 일정 기준의 매출액, 업력, 연구개발(R&D) 투자 등을 충족해야 한다. 

기업은 ▲예비유망강소기업 ▲유망강소기업 ▲우수유망강소기업의 세 가지 등급으로 나누어 선정되며, 특히 이차전지, 바이오헬스, 수소, 디지털 등 포항시 전략산업 분야에 속한 기업에는 우대 혜택이 주어진다.

신청 접수는 오는 4월 25일까지이며, 접수된 기업을 대상으로 ▲요건 심사 ▲현장 평가 ▲발표 평가 ▲종합 평가의 4단계 심층심사를 거쳐 총 7개사 내외를 최종 선정할 계획이다.

선정된 기업에게는 ▲경영진단 및 성장전략 컨설팅 ▲맞춤형 기업지원 ▲PM(Project Manager) 제도 운영 및 유관기관 연계 R&D 지원 ▲글로벌 시장 진출 패키지 지원 ▲중소기업 운전자금 우대 및 세무조사 유예 등의 다양한 인센티브가 제공된다.

포항시와 포항TP는 지난 2015년부터 본 사업을 통해 지역 강소기업 육성과 양질의 일자리 창출을 위한 생태계를 조성해왔다. 현재까지 총 111개사가 유망강소기업으로 선정돼 집중적인 지원을 받아 매출 증가, 고용 확대, 정부지원사업 유치 등 가시적인 성과를 거뒀다.

Pohang Techno Park (Director Bae Young-ho, hereinafter Pohang TP) has started recruiting ‘Pohang City Promising Small and Medium Enterprises in 2025’ to discover and foster local small and medium enterprises with technological prowess and growth potential.

The target of the recruitment is a corporate small and medium enterprise in the manufacturing or knowledge-based service industry with its headquarters and main business location in Pohang City, and must meet certain standards such as sales, business capacity, and R&D investment.

Companies are selected by dividing them into three grades: ▲Preliminary Promising Small and Medium Enterprises ▲Promising Small and Medium Enterprises ▲Excellent Promising Small and Medium Enterprises, and in particular, companies in Pohang City’s strategic industries such as secondary batteries, biohealth, hydrogen, and digital are given preferential benefits.

Applications will be accepted until April 25, and the companies that have applied will undergo a four-stage in-depth review of ▲requirements review ▲on-site evaluation ▲presentation evaluation ▲comprehensive evaluation, and a total of about 7 companies will be selected.

As of now, a total of 111 companies have been selected as promising small and medium-sized companies and have received intensive support, achieving visible results such as increased sales, employment expansion, and attracting government-supported projects.
