이번 협약은 급변하는 건설 환경에 대응해 도시개발 및 기반시설 조성 분야의 전문 인력을 체계적으로 양성하고, 양 기관 간 건설 기술 교류를 통해 교육의 질을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲건설기술 및 전문인력 양성을 위한 교육훈련 과정 개발 ▲최신 건설기술과 현장 중심 실무교육 운영 ▲도시개발 및 주거환경 개선을 위한 협력체계 구축 ▲BIM(빌딩정보모델링)을 활용한 도시기반시설 조성 및 스마트 건설 안전장비 활용 기술 교류 등 다양한 분야에서 협력하기로 했다.

정명섭 대구도시개발공사 사장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 건설 산업을 이끌어갈 우수한 전문 인재를 양성하는 기반을 마련하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 적극적인 기술 교류와 협력을 통해 시민들에게 보다 안전하고 고품질의 주거 환경을 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
