정명섭 사장은 현장을 직접 찾아 △관로 공사 구간 및 동다짐·발파 작업 현장의 안전관리 실태 △근로자 한랭질환 예방을 위한 방한조치 이행 여부 △건조특보에 따른 화기 사용 관리 및 화재 예방조치 △건설기계 전도·협착 사고 예방을 위한 안전수칙 준수 여부 △개구부 추락 방지 시설 설치 상태 등을 중점적으로 점검했다.

특히 주요 공정과 위험 작업을 중심으로 현장 관리 실태를 세밀히 살피고, 작업자 안전 확보를 위한 철저한 현장 관리와 안전수칙 준수를 강조했다.

정명섭 사장은 “기상특보가 지속되는 동절기에는 작은 부주의가 큰 사고로 이어질 수 있다”며 “앞으로도 CEO 주관 현장 점검을 지속적으로 실시해 중대재해 없는 안전한 건설현장 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
