【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구시 산하 3개 공사·공단(대구도시개발공사·대구교통공사·대구공공시설관리공단)이 청년과 함께 지역 현안을 해결하기 위한 어프렌티스 프로그램 ‘청춘 ON : 로컬 크리에이터’를 출범시켰다.

지난 19일 대구도시개발공사에서 열린 첫 오리엔테이션에는 공사·공단 직원 7명과 대구지역 대학생 14명이 참석해 앞으로 두 달간 이어질 활동의 시작을 알렸다. 이들은 프로그램 취지와 운영 방향을 공유하며 협업 의지를 다졌다.

‘청춘 ON : 로컬 크리에이터’는 지역 소멸 위기 극복과 청년 친화 도시 조성을 목표로, 대학생들이 직접 정책 과제를 발굴·제안하는 참여형 프로그램이다. 참가자들은 기관별 멘토와 팀을 이뤄 다음과 같은 특화 과제에 도전한다.

대구교통공사-영남대 : 대중교통 활성화 방안

대구공공시설관리공단-계명대 : 지하상권 활성화 방안

이번 사업은 지난해 12월 체결된 ‘지역 소멸 및 저출생 위기 극복을 위한 공사·공단 공동 대응 협약’의 후속 과제로, 정부의 청년 정책 참여 확대 기조와도 맞닿아 있다.

참여 청년들은 2개월간 과제를 수행한 뒤 11월 열릴 최종 발표회에서 정책 제안 결과를 공유한다. 우수 아이디어는 실제 사업과 정책에 반영될 예정이다.

정명섭 대구도시개발공사 사장은 “청년들의 아이디어를 실질적 정책에 반영한다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “이번 프로그램이 지역 사회 혁신 주체로 성장하는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Daegu City Corporations and Public Corporations Partner with Youth to Find Solutions to Local Issues

Three corporations and public corporations under the Daegu Metropolitan Government (Daegu Urban Development Corporation, Daegu Transportation Corporation, and Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation) have launched "Youth ON: Local Creator," an apprenticeship program designed to address local issues with young people.

The first orientation, held at the Daegu Urban Development Corporation on the 19th, brought together seven employees from the corporations and 14 university students from the Daegu area to mark the start of the two-month program. They shared the program's purpose and operational direction and solidified their commitment to collaboration.

"Youth ON: Local Creator" is a participatory program where university students directly identify and propose policy issues, aiming to overcome the crisis of regional extinction and create youth-friendly cities. Participants team up with mentors from each institution and tackle specialized tasks, including:

This project is a follow-up to the "Joint Response Agreement between the Corporation and the Corporation to Overcome the Crisis of Regional Extinction and Low Birth Rates," signed in December of last year, and is aligned with the government's policy of expanding youth participation in policy.

The participating youth will complete the project over a two-month period and share their policy proposals at a final presentation in November. The best ideas will be incorporated into actual projects and policies.
