【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구도시개발공사는 지난 1월 6일 국토교통부가 발표한 공공 건설공사 참여기관 대상 '2025년 안전관리 수준평가'에서 우수 참여기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
안전관리 수준평가는 건설공사 참여자의 자율적인 안전관리 활동을 유도하고, 안전관리 역량을 체계적으로 평가하기 위해 국토안전관리원이 2017년부터 매년 실시하고 있다.
평가는 안전전담 조직 구성, 관련 법령에 따른 안전관리 업무 수행, 자발적 안전점검 활동, 위험요소 사전 확인 및 제거 지원 활동 등 153개 세부 지표와 건설현장 사망자 수 등을 종합적으로 반영해 매우우수·우수·보통·미흡·매우미흡의 5개 등급으로 구분된다.
올해 평가에는 전국 104개 발주청이 참여했으며, 이 가운데 매우우수 1개 기관, 우수 13개 기관만이 선정되는 등 높은 경쟁률을 보였다. 이러한 가운데 대구도시개발공사는 체계적인 안전관리 역량을 인정받아 우수기관에 이름을 올렸다.
대구도시개발공사는 지난해 현장 중심의 안전점검 강화와 안전교육 확대, 근로자 참여형 안전활동 활성화 등을 통해 건설현장 안전관리 내실화에 주력해 왔다. 아울러 올해에는 직제규정 개정을 통해 사장 직속 ‘안전관리실’을 신설하는 등 안전관리 기능을 한층 강화하고 있다.
정명섭 대구도시개발공사 사장은 “이번 우수기관 선정은 전 임직원이 안전을 최우선 가치로 삼고 현장 중심의 안전관리를 실천해 온 결과”라며 “앞으로도 시민과 근로자가 모두 안심할 수 있는 건설환경 조성을 위해 선제적이고 체계적인 안전관리를 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
