3일 공사에 따르면 이번 경진대회는 대구시가 주최하고 시 본청, 9개 구‧군, 공사‧공단 및 출자‧출연기관이 참여한 가운데, 시민이 체감할 수 있는 적극행정 및 시정혁신 우수사례를 발굴‧공유하기 위해 마련된 자리이다.

대구도시개발공사는 시정혁신 분야에서 지방공기업 최초로 다세대‧다가구 주택의 유휴공간을 활용한 ‘공유햇빛발전소’ 구축 사례를 발표해 높은 평가를 받았다. 

공사는 매입임대주택 옥상 유휴공간에 시민 햇빛발전협동조합의 재원으로 태양광 발전소를 설치, 탄소중립 실천과 에너지 전환에 기여하고 있다. 또한 발전 수익의 일부를 임대주택 입주민의 주거비 절감에 활용함으로써 취약계층 복지 향상에도 앞장서고 있다.

이 같은 혁신 사례는 지역사회 이익공유를 통한 에너지 전환의 모범 모델로 인정받았으며, 대구형 탄소중립 모델로의 확산 가능성이 높게 평가되어 장려상 수상으로 이어졌다.

Daegu Urban Development Corporation (CEO Jeong Myeong-seop) won the Encouragement Award in the Municipal Innovation category at the "2025 Second Half Daegu City Proactive Administration and Municipal Innovation Best Practices Competition."

According to the Corporation on the 3rd, the competition, hosted by Daegu City and attended by the city hall, nine districts and counties, public corporations, public institutions, and invested and funded organizations, aims to discover and share best practices in proactive administration and municipal innovation that citizens can experience.

In the Municipal Innovation category, Daegu Urban Development Corporation received high praise for presenting a case study on the construction of a "shared solar power plant" utilizing idle space in multi-family and multi-unit housing, becoming the first local public enterprise to do so.

The Corporation is contributing to carbon neutrality and energy transition by installing a solar power plant on the idle rooftop space of a purchased rental housing unit, financed by the Citizens' Solar Power Generation Cooperative. Furthermore, by using a portion of the power generation revenue to reduce housing costs for rental housing residents, the Corporation is also leading the way in improving the welfare of vulnerable groups.

This innovative example has been recognized as an exemplary model for energy transition through community benefit sharing and has high potential for expansion into Daegu's carbon-neutral model, leading to the Corporation receiving an award of encouragement.
