이번 점검에는 정명섭 사장을 비롯해 외부 안전전문가가 직접 참여했다. 고소작업이나 중장비 운용 등 사고 위험도가 높은 공정이 집중 점검 대상이었으며, 각 현장의 동절기 대응 체계와 안전대책 이행 여부가 세부적으로 확인된 것으로 알려졌다.

현장 근로자의 안전 인식 확산과 사기 진작을 위한 지원 활동도 병행됐다. 공사는 점검 기간 동안 일부 현장에 커피차를 배치하고, 한파 대응용 핫팩 등 안전물품을 지급했다. 공사는 향후 관련 지원을 확대하겠다는 계획도 내놨다.
