성주군이 다문화가족과 어울림을 위해 다양한 정책을 펼치며 살기좋은 성주 만들기에 나선다.

성주군에 등록된 외국인 수는 2020년 12월말 기준 1,556명으로 성주군 전체 주민등록인구의 3.46%로 경북도 내에서는 4번째로 많은 외국인이 살고 있다. 

그 중 다문화가정은 314세대로, 성주군에서는 지난 2월 관내 다문화가정 현황을 전수조사 하추후 다문화가족지원사업에 적극 활용하고 가정폭력 등 가정환경이 열악한 가구에는 전문가 개입 등 적극적인 지원을 할 예정이다.

성주군은 건강가정․다문화가족지원센터를 통해 종합적인 다문화 지원서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 생애 주기별 부모교육과 임신출산 지원, 아버지 역할 지원, 부부교육, 가족상담 등 11개 가족프로그램을 운영하는 등 맞춤형서비스를 제공하고 있다. 

또한 다문화가족의 안정적인 정착을 위해 전문 방문지도사가 가정방문을 통하여 언어뿐만 아니라 생활교육도 병행하여 결혼이민여성의 한국생활적응을 돕고, 결혼이민자 취업․창업 맞춤형 취업교육을 진행하여 제2의 고향인 성주에서 함께 어울려 생활할 수 있도록 적극 지원하고 있다. 

뿐만 아니라 맞벌이 등의 사유로 양육공백이 발생한 가정의 만 12세 이하 아동에게 아이돌보미가 찾아가는 돌봄 서비스를 제공하여 부모의 양육부담을 경감하고 저출산 해소에 기여하고 있다. 

경상북도 인구정책사업의 일환으로 아이돌보미 서비스 이용시 본인부담금 환급금을 추가 지원하여 2020년에는 71가구 119명의 아동이 연중 돌봄서비스를 받았다.

성주군은 지역주민들의 여유로운 문화생활과 자기 개발에도 힘쓰고 있다. 특히 3월 ~ 5월까지 15개 과정 194명의 수강생이 참여하는 상반기군민행복교육을 운영하며 5월에는 지역특화여성취업교육으로 정리수납 전문가2급과정을 개설하여 관련분야 여성의 취업과 연계하여 운영할 예정이다. 

이병환 성주군수는 “건강가정․다문화가족지원센터에서는 다문화가정 뿐만 아니라 성주군 모든 가정에서 참여 할 수 있는 프로그램이 많다”면서 “더욱 전문화된 운영을 위하여 금년 3월부터 전문기관에 위탁하여 운영하고 있다”고 설명했다.

그러면서 “우리 한국인들이 전 세계 무대에서 활약하고 있듯이 우리나라 역시 전 세계에서 찾아오고 살고 싶어 하는 나라로 거듭날 수 있도록 더불어 살아가는 아름다운 동행에 성주군이 함께 할 것"이라고 전했다.
