이번 수상은 국민 안전 솔루션 구체화를 통한 ‘인공지능(AI) 위험인지 경보 시스템’ 판로 개척기여, 야외 강변시설 내 혁신기술을 접목한 안전 감시망 개발 및 실증을 통한 인프라 체계를 전국 최초로 구축한 점을 높게 평가 받았다.

그간 공단은 핵심 혁신수요 창출 프로세스 운영을 통해 문제해결 디자인을 제시하고, 사업 현장 적용 가능성을 높이는 한편 도전적 테스트베드 사업을 통해 혁신제품의 빠른 시장 진입 촉진에 대한 노력을 펼쳐왔다.

특히, 지난해 12월 정부 주관의 전국 혁신조달 경진대회에서 금상을 수상하여 혁신수요 아이디어 제시, 혁신기술 발굴, 상용화를 통해 공공서비스 수준 개선에 대한 성과를 인정받은 바 있다. 

최재훈 달성군수는 “이번 지방공공기관 최초 수상을 계기로 혁신조달에 더욱 박차를 가해 주민이 체감할 수 있는 혁신지향 공공안전 인프라 구축에 더 앞장설 것”이라고 전했다.
