스마트도시 인증은 국내 스마트도시 수준을 체계적으로 진단해 정부차원에서 우수 스마트도시 모델을 발굴하고 이를 국내외에 확산시키기 위해 2021년 처음 시행된 지표 기반의 인증제이다.
달서구는 지능화시설, 정보통신망, 도시통합운영센터 등 스마트 기술과 인프라를 잘 갖추고 있고, 스마트도시 조성을 위한 민관산학연 거버넌스 추진체계가 우수해 2022년 선정기관 중 최우수하다는 평가를 받은 것으로 알려진다.
이번 스마트도시 인증을 토대로 대외 홍보와 더불어 지표 기반 도시효율화 정책 추진을 통한 구민체감 제고와 나아가 국책사업 연계·확보에도 적극 활용할 예정이다.
