도시재생 사업에 대해서는 성서산단과 인근 주거지, 상권까지 연계해 국내외 성공 모델을 참고해 단계적으로 추진할 방침이라고 설명했다. 또 성서5차산단이 달성군에 일부 포함돼 있어, 지자체 간 협의도 필요하다는 점을 인정했다.
