이 의원에 따르면 지난 24일 국회 본회의에서 통과된 2023년도 정부예산안에서 총사업비 165억원 규모의 예산이 확보되어 대구 대표 관광명소이자 시민 힐링공간인 수성못에 월드클래스 수준의 수상공연장 조서오가, 수성못과 들안길을 스카이브릿지로 연결하여 이용객의 편의를 도모하는 프로젝트가 내년부터 시작된다.

수상공연장 조성은 지방 이양 사업으로 분류되어 수년간의 노력에도 불구하고 국가 예산 확보가 불가능한 상황으로 특히 수성못과 들안길을 연결하는 스카이브릿지는 수성못 일대의 고질적인 주차난 해소와 관광 활성화가 기대되지만 오랜 기간 예산확보에 난항을 겪고 있었다.

이에 이인선 의원은 다양한 경험으로 쌓은 노하우와 인적네트워크를 활용해 기존 문화체육관광부가 아닌 국토교통부 사업으로 전환하여 사업을 확정지었다.

이를 위해 이인선 의원은 지난 10월 28일, 세종시에 위치한 국토교통부를 직접 방문해 원희룡 장관과의 면담을 통해 예산지원의 필요성을 설명하고, 국회 예산결산특별위원회 위원으로서 기획재정부와 여야 의원들을 적극적으로 설득하는 등의 노력을 기울여왔다.

이를 통해 얻은 결과로 수성못은 세계적 수준의 명품 수상공연장 조성해 대구와 대한민국을 넘어 국제적인 관광명소로 거듭날 것으로 기대된다. 또한 들안길과 수성못의 도보 이동이 원활해지며 대구 대표 관광지 수성못 일대가 획기적으로 변화할 것으로 예상된다.

이 가운데 대구시의 내년도 국비 확보액 4조 371억원의 성과에는 예결위 활동와 국비캠프 제공 등을 통해 전방위적으로 지원한 이인선 의원의 공이 컸다는 평가가 이어지고 있다.

이인선 의원은 “수성구와 대구시를 위한 국가예산 확보에 최선을 다했다”면서, “특히 지역민들의 염원이 가득 담긴 수성못 일대의 숙원사업 두 건을 함께 추진 할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다.”며 “앞으로도 국가 예산 확보를 위해 수성구 및 대구광역시와 긴밀히 협의하고, 중앙부처에 사업의 당위성을 꾸준히 전달하여 지역 현안을 해결하는데 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
