【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교(총장 최재영) 인테리어디자인과(전시디자인전공)가 ‘전국 대학생 전시디자인 공모전’에서 산업통상자원부 장관상을 수상하며 올해로 6번째 최고상 수상 기록을 세웠다고 29일 밝혔다.

대학에 따르면 지난 27일 서울전시산업진흥회 사무국서 열린 ‘제10회 대학생 전시디자인 공모전’ 시상식에서 영진전문대 전시디자인전공 학생들이 대상, 최우수상을 수상하며 전국 최고 전시디자인 실력을 입증했다.

한국전시산업진흥원, 한국전시디자인설치협회가 매년 주최하고, 산업통상자원부가 후원하는 ‘대학생 전시디자인 공모전’은 전국 2ㆍ4년제 대학생이 참여하는 국내 유일의 전시디자인 대회로 청년들의 참신한 전시디자인 아이디어를 발굴하고, 나아가 국내 전시산업 발전과 활성화, 전시디자인 분야 전문 인력을 육성하고자 실시하고 있다.

이번 공모전은 ‘생활가전 부문’과 ‘카페쇼 부문’ 2개 부문으로 나누어 진행되었으며 예선 심사를 거쳐 본선에 오른 9개 팀이 프레젠테이션 발표를 진행했고 이를 평가해 최종 순위를 매겼다.

본선 심사를 결과 스마트 로스터기 브랜드인 스트롱홀드(STRONGHOLD)의 홍보부스를 제안한 ‘스트롱홀드(StrongHold) 타운의 스마트 로스팅솔루션’ 작품을 발표한 영진전문대 스마트원팀(권선빈, 인테리어디자인과 2년)이 ‘카페쇼 부문’ 대상(산업통상자원부 장관상) 의 영예를 안았다.

이로써 인테리어디자인과는 올해 10회 대회까지 단 한 차례를 제외한, 6차례에 걸쳐 대상 수상이라는 대기록을 세우며 전국 최고 전시디자인 실력을 입증했다.

뿐만 아니라 ‘생활가전 부문’ 에서도 인테리어디자인과 언노운팀(강태민, 이지민 2년)이 ‘에일리언웨어(Alienware), 판을 바꾸다!’ 작품으로 최우수상(한국전시산업진흥회장상)을 차지해 눈길을 끌었다.

이번 대회에 참가한 권선빈, 강태민, 이지민 학생도 이번 대해 입상과 함께 수도권 전시디자인 전문업체로 현장 실무를 시작할 수 있게되었다.

이지훈 인테리어디자인과 부장(교수)은 “우리 학과는 ‘탈지역형 취업전략’ 차원에서 ‘전시디자인반’을 의욕적으로 개설해 성공가도를 달리고 있다” 면서 “인테리어와 전시디자인 분야에서 전국 최고, 명품 인재를 배출한다는 자부심으로 2022학년도부터 학제를 3년제로 개편, 현장 맞춤형 인재를 배출하는데 더욱 매진하고 있다”고 밝혔다.

As a result of the final screening, the smart one team at Yeongjin College (Seonbin Kwon, 2 years of interior design), who presented the 'Smart Roasting Solution of StrongHold Town', proposed a promotional booth for the smart roaster brand STRONGHOLD. In addition, in the ‘Home Appliances Division’, the Unknown Team (Kang Tae-min, Lee Ji-min, 2nd year) of the Interior Design Division won the grand prize (Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association Award) with ‘Alienware, Changed the Edition!’, drawing attention.

Students Seonbin Kwon, Taemin Kang, and Jimin Lee, who participated in this competition, were able to start their field work as a company specializing in exhibition design in the metropolitan area with this prize.
