포항시는 21일 시청 3층 로비에서 ‘2023년 포항스틸러스 시즌 예매권 일일 판매행사’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에서 김기동 감독을 비롯해 주장 김승대, 완델손과 함께 올해 새로 영입한 뉴페이스 백성동, 제카 선수가 참여해 신고식을 치렀으며, 2023년 경기 달력을 배부하고 선수들의 사인회도 함께 진행됐다.

이날 이강덕 시장은 포항사랑상품권으로 시즌 예매권을 구매하면서 올해 포항 스틸러스 시즌 예매권의 제1호 구매자로서 창단 50주년을 맞이한 포항스틸러스에 대한 응원을 아끼지 않았으며, 특히 이날 시즌 예매권은 53% 할인된 가격으로 일일 판매를 진행해 시민들의 뜨거운 호응을 얻기도 했다.

이에 앞서 이강덕 시장은 제8대 포항스틸러스 단장에 취임한 이종하 단장에게 꽃다발을 전달했으며, 나주영 포항시체육회장과 각급 기관·단체, 팬들이 행사에 함께 참여해 포항스틸러스에 대한 변함없는 애정으로 현장을 달궜다.

이강덕 포항시장은 “대한민국에서 가장 오래된 프로축구단인 포항스틸러스의 창단 50주년과 올해 구단을 새롭게 이끌게 될 제8대 이종하 단장의 취임을 진심으로 축하한다”며, “지난해 우수한 성적으로 출전권을 획득한 AFC 챔피언스 리그에서 반드시 우승할 수 있도록 시민들의 많은 응원을 부탁드린다”라고 말했다.

한편, 포항스틸러스 시즌 홈 개막전은 오는 26일 오후 2시 포항스틸야드에서 FC대구를 상대로 진행될 예정이다.
