달서구는 식목기간에 맞춰 도시 숲 조성을 위해 주민과 함께하는 우리마을 동산가꾸기사업을 추진하고 있다. 2016년부터 2022년까지 467만여 본의 수목을 식재했다. 54만 달서구민이 매년 1인당 1본 이상의 수목을 심는 것과 같은 수량이다.
올해 우리마을 동산가꾸기 사업은 지난달 17일 유천동(세모공원), 상인2동(행정복지센터)에서 남천100주, 연산홍 300주를 식재한 것을 시작으로 성서IC에서 편백나무 300그루, 학산 편백나무 600그루를 심었다.
또 오는 15일까지 각급단체‧지역주민‧자원봉사자 등 1,000여명이 18회에 걸쳐 편백나무 2,500그루 등 10종 총 5,400그루를 식재할 계획이다.
이태훈 달서구청장은“우리마을 동산가꾸기 사업을 지속 추진해 미래 세대에 물려줄 푸른 명품 숲의 달서구를 만들어나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
