이날 정일균 의원은 대한법률구조공단 본부를 방문해 아동‧청소년 빚대물림 방지를 위한 법률지원 조례제정과 관련한 간담회를 진행했다.
정의원에 따르면 이날 간담회에는 강영찬 전략기획부장, 정경원 변호사 등 대한법률구조공단 관계자가 참석해 미성년 상속인에 대한 빚대물림 방지를 위한 현행법체계와 관련 현황 및 대한법률구조공단의 법률지원 사업 등에 대해 청취했다.
이와 함께 지역사회 차원에서 아동청소년의 상속채무 해결지원을 위한 조례 제정에 대한 심도있는 논의가 이어졌다.
정일균 의원은 “미성년 상속인이 부모의 가난을 대물림 받아 기울어진 운동장에서 삶을 시작하는 어려움을 겪지 않도록 하는 일이 시급하다.”고 강조하며 “아동․청소년이 건강한 사회구성원으로 스스로 삶을 설계하는 데 공백 없는 법률지원 서비스가 이뤄질 수 있도록 관련 조례 제정 등을 통한 지역차원의 노력에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 덧붙여 말했다.

Rep. Jeong Il-kyun emphasized, “It is urgent to ensure that minor heirs inherit their parents’ poverty and do not experience the difficulties of starting life on a slanted playground.” We will do our best to make efforts at the regional level through the enactment of related ordinances so that legal support services can be provided without gaps,” he added.
