동구는 행정정보를 안내하던 기존 문자전송 시스템을 카카오톡 기반 알림톡으로 개편했다고 전했다. 이에 따라 알림톡 및 문자 발송 시 자동으로 구청 로고가 삽입돼 구청을 사칭한 피싱 범죄를 예방할 수 있다.

최대 전송 문자 수도 기존 500자에서 1000자까지 늘려 수신자에게 정확한 내용 전달이 가능해졌다. 기존 문자보다 가격이 35％ 저렴해 공공요금 예산이 연간 1100만 원 정도 절감될 것으로 예상된다.

동구는 앞으로 체납고지, 모집, 홍보, 여권수령 등 각종 행정서비스를 알림톡을 통해 안내할 방침이다.

또한 현재 군소음 보상지원 사업에 시범 시행 중인 양방향 문자 전송 모델을 개발해 민원인의 궁금 사항을 실시간 대응할 수 있도록 할 계획이다.

윤석준 동구청장은 "알림톡 도입으로 예산 절감은 물론 행정서비스의 신뢰도도 높일 수 있게 됐다"며 “향후 다양한 업무에 확대할 계획이다”라고 전했다.
