이날 본회의에서는 2026년도 영천시 제1회 추가경정예산안에 대한 최종 의결이 이뤄졌다. 이번 추경예산안은 일반 및 기타특별회계 1조 591억 원으로 기정액 대비 125억5천300만 원이 증액됐으며, 상수도사업특별회계는 396억 원으로 기정액 대비 4억8천만 원이 감액됐다. 이를 포함한 총 예산 규모는 1조 987억여 원으로, 집행부가 제출한 원안대로 모두 가결됐다.

이갑균 예산결산특별위원장은 “추경예산이 편성 목적에 부합하는지와 지역 현안 사업에 적절히 반영됐는지를 중심으로 면밀히 심사했다”며 “각 사업의 효율성과 시급성, 타당성을 종합적으로 고려해 예산안을 검토했다”고 밝혔다.

김선태 의장은 “12일간의 임시회 기간 동안 주요업무 보고와 예산안 심사 등 각종 안건 처리를 위해 힘써주신 동료 의원들과 의정활동에 협조해 준 집행기관 공직자 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “확정된 예산이 신속하고 적재적소에 집행돼 시민의 삶에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 행정력을 집중해 달라”고 당부했다.
