【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)가 글로벌 클라우드 기업 Amazon Web Services(AWS)와 협력해 추진 중인 AWS 공인인증 교육센터(C3·Cloud Certification Center) 구축과 관련, 교직원 대상 클라우드 자격증 대비 교육을 본격 가동했다. C3 센터의 자립적 운영 기반을 선제적으로 확보하기 위한 핵심 인력 양성 단계에 돌입한 것이다.

대학은 교수 및 직원 25명을 선발해 AWS 클라우드 전문강사 양성과정을 운영한다. IT 전공 여부와 관계없이 참여할 수 있도록 설계됐으며, 간호학과·보건행정학과·치기공학과·물리치료학과·방사선학과 등 다양한 전공의 교수진과 직원이 참여해 대학 전반의 디지털 역량을 고도화하고 있다. 보건 특성화 대학이 클라우드 기반 디지털 전환(AX)에 선제 대응하겠다는 전략적 행보다.

교육은 수준별 2개 트랙으로 운영된다. STEP 1(초급)은 AWS Cloud Practitioner(CLF) 자격증 대비 과정으로, 클라우드 기초 개념과 핵심 용어, 보안 이해를 중심으로 구성됐다. 최신 클라우드 트렌드와 활용 사례, 컴퓨팅·스토리지·네트워킹 등 AWS 핵심 서비스 구조를 단계적으로 학습하고 모의고사를 통해 실전 대비를 강화한다.

STEP 2(중급)는 AWS Solutions Architect Associate(SAA) 자격증 대비 과정으로, 고가용성 아키텍처 설계와 서비스 조합·구축 실습을 중심으로 진행된다. 참여 교직원은 컴퓨팅·스토리지·네트워크·보안·데이터베이스 등 주요 서비스를 설계 관점에서 이해하고, 도메인별 문제풀이와 모의 테스트를 통해 합격 수준의 실전 역량을 확보하게 된다.

모든 과정은 오프라인 집합 교육과 온라인 자가학습을 병행한다. 오프라인 수업에서는 핵심 개념 강의와 사례 기반 학습, 질의응답을 진행하고, AWS Skill Builder와 CertiNavigator 등 온라인 플랫폼을 활용해 복습과 문제풀이를 이어가며 학습 효과를 극대화한다.

특히 SAA 자격을 취득한 교직원은 AWS 본사가 운영하는 AAI(AWS Authorized Instructor) 인증 프로그램에 참여할 수 있는 자격을 얻게 된다. 공인 강사 자격을 취득하면 향후 C3 센터의 핵심 멘토로 활동하며 재학생과 지역 기업을 대상으로 실무 중심의 클라우드 교육을 직접 운영하게 된다. 단순 자격 취득을 넘어, 대학이 글로벌 표준 교육을 자체 수행할 수 있는 체계 구축으로 이어지는 구조다.

대학은 지난해 12월 AWS와 ‘AX 인재 양성 및 C3 교육센터 구축’을 위한 업무협약을 체결했으며, 2026년 중 라이프케어산업기술원 및 기업집적지 현장캠퍼스에 C3 센터를 조성해 교육과 산업 현장을 연계한 실습 중심 AX 교육 생태계를 완성할 계획이다.

남성희 총장은 “이번 교직원 대상 AWS 자격증 교육은 C3 센터의 성공적 운영을 위한 핵심 인력을 선제 확보하는 과정”이라며 “교직원 스스로가 글로벌 표준 클라우드 역량을 갖춤으로써 헬스케어 분야 디지털 전환을 선도하는 글로컬 대학의 교육 경쟁력을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Health College Accelerates Construction of AWS Certified Training Center

Daegu Health College (President Nam Sung-hee) has launched cloud certification training for faculty and staff in connection with the establishment of the AWS Certified Training Center (C3, Cloud Certification Center) in partnership with global cloud company Amazon Web Services (AWS). This marks the beginning of the core personnel training phase to proactively secure the foundation for the independent operation of the C3 Center.

The college will select 25 faculty and staff to participate in the AWS Cloud Specialist Instructor Training Program. Designed to be open to students regardless of their IT background, the program brings together faculty and staff from diverse departments, including nursing, health administration, dental technology, physical therapy, and radiology, enhancing the university's overall digital capabilities. This strategic move by the health-focused college is a proactive response to the cloud-based digital transformation (AX).

Training is offered in two levels. STEP 1 (Beginner) prepares for the AWS Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification, focusing on fundamental cloud concepts, key terminology, and an understanding of security. This course provides a step-by-step overview of the latest cloud trends and use cases, as well as the architecture of core AWS services, including computing, storage, and networking. Students will also strengthen their preparation through mock exams.

STEP 2 (Intermediate) prepares for the AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA) certification. It focuses on designing high-availability architectures and practicing service composition and deployment. Participating faculty and staff will gain a design understanding of key services, including computing, storage, networking, security, and databases, and will acquire practical skills to pass the exam through domain-specific problem-solving and mock exams.

All courses combine offline group instruction with online self-study. In-person classes include lectures on key concepts, case-based learning, and Q&A sessions. Online platforms like AWS Skill Builder and CertiNavigator allow for review and problem-solving, maximizing learning effectiveness.

Notably, faculty and staff who earn the SAA certification are eligible to participate in the AWS Authorized Instructor (AAI) certification program, operated by AWS headquarters. Upon obtaining certified instructor qualifications, the university will serve as a key mentor at the C3 Center and directly conduct practical cloud training for current students and local businesses. This structure goes beyond simply obtaining certification and will lead to the establishment of a system that enables the university to independently conduct globally standardized training.

Last December, the university signed a business agreement with AWS to "Develop AX Talent and Establish a C3 Training Center." The university plans to establish a C3 Center at the Life Care Industry Technology Institute and the on-site campus of a corporate cluster by 2026, completing a hands-on AX training ecosystem that links education and industry.

President Nam Sung-hee stated, "This AWS certification training for faculty and staff is a preemptive step toward securing key personnel for the successful operation of the C3 Center.
