【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 ‘전문대학 글로벌 현장학습’ 5년 연속, ‘파란사다리’ 3년 연속, ‘해외일경험 지원사업’ 3년 연속 선정되는 등 정부 지원 글로벌 연수 프로그램에 잇따라 선정됐다고 16일 밝혔다.

이번 선정으로 대구보건대학교는 재학생들의 글로벌 역량 강화와 진로 개발을 위한 해외 연수 및 현장 경험 기회를 지속적으로 확대할 수 있게 됐다.

‘전문대학 글로벌 현장학습’은 교육부와 한국전문대학교육협의회가 주관하는 사업으로, 어학 교육과 산업체 실습을 연계해 실무형 글로벌 인재를 양성하는 프로그램이다. 대구보건대는 올해 학생 11명을 호주에 파견할 예정이며, 8주간 어학연수와 8주간 전공별 현장실습 등 총 16주 과정으로 운영한다.

한국장학재단이 주관하는 ‘파란사다리 사업’은 경제·사회적 취약계층 학생들에게 해외 연수 기회를 제공하는 프로그램이다. 대학은 캐나다, 호주, 말레이시아 등에 총 40명을 선발해 4주간 어학 및 문화교육 중심의 연수를 진행할 계획이다.

한국산업인력공단이 주관하는 ‘해외일경험 지원사업’은 전공 기반 해외 산업체에서 실무 경험을 제공하는 사업이다. 대구보건대는 캐나다에 학생 13명을 파견해 8주간 현장 중심의 일경험 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.

대구보건대학교는 해당 사업들을 통해 매년 안정적으로 학생들을 선발·파견해 왔으며, 특히 ‘글로벌 현장학습’ 사업은 2022년 6명에서 올해 11명으로 파견 인원이 늘어나는 등 지속적인 성과를 이어가고 있다.

남성희 대구보건대학교 총장은 “학생들이 해외 현장에서 쌓은 경험은 진로를 구체화하는 데 큰 자산이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 학생들이 더 넓은 세계로 나아가 글로벌 스탠다드를 주도하는 전문가로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

The ‘Junior College Global Field Training’ is a project organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council of Junior Colleges, designed to cultivate practical global talent by linking language education with industry internships. Daegu Health College plans to dispatch 11 students to Australia this year, operating a total 16-week course consisting of eight weeks of language training and eight weeks of major-specific field practice.

The "Blue Ladder Project," organized by the Korea Student Aid Foundation, is a program that provides overseas training opportunities to students from economically and socially vulnerable backgrounds. The university plans to select a total of 40 students for a four-week training program focused on language and cultural education in countries such as Canada, Australia, and Malaysia.

The "Overseas Work Experience Support Program," organized by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, offers practical work experience at overseas companies based on students' majors. Daegu Health College plans to dispatch 13 students to Canada to operate an eight-week field-oriented work experience program.

Through these programs, Daegu Health College has consistently selected and dispatched students every year. In particular, the "Global Field Learning" program continues to achieve sustained results, with the number of dispatched students increasing from six in 2022 to eleven this year.
