【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 11일 오전 10시 본관 3층 대회의실에서 ‘2025 지역사회 연계 디자인씽킹 문제해결 경진대회’를 개최했다.

이번 대회는 대학이 추진 중인 ‘지역사회와 함께하는 창의·인성교육모델 개발’ 사업의 일환으로, 학생들이 디자인씽킹 기법을 활용해 지역 현안을 발굴하고 실질적 해결 방안을 모색하도록 하기 위해 마련됐다. 행사에는 남성희 총장을 비롯해 조연재 북구청 정책기획국장, 전태원 대구창조경제혁신센터 초기창업팀장 등 내외빈 80여 명이 참석했다.

대상은 간호학과 학생팀의 ‘북구르마블’ 프로젝트가 차지했다. 해당 팀은 북구의 주요 명소 탐방을 보드게임과 결합한 문화 콘텐츠를 제안해 시민 참여를 유도하고 지역 홍보 효과를 높일 수 있다는 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

금상은 유휴 공간 활용 방안을 제시한 반려동물보건관리학과의 ‘매천시장 이전부지 도시재생 명소화’와 간호학과의 ‘대구 북구의 러닝명소’가 공동 수상했다. 이 밖에도 ‘북구 공공자전거 활성화’, ‘보건대 골목 활성화’ 등 지역 밀착형 아이디어를 제안한 7개 팀이 은상과 동상을 수상했다.

윤영순 융합교양교육원장(유아교육학과 교수)은 “이번 대회를 통해 발굴된 우수 아이디어가 실제 지역 정책으로 연계될 수 있도록 지자체와 협력해 후속 사업화를 추진하겠다”며 “학생들이 지역사회 발전에 기여하는 실천적 교육 모델을 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Health College Holds 'Community-Linked Design Thinking Competition'… Nursing Department's 'Bukgur Marble' Wins Grand Prize

Daegu Health College (President Nam Sung-hee) held the '2025 Community-Linked Design Thinking Problem-Solving Competition' in the main building's 3rd floor conference room at 10:00 AM on the 11th.

This competition, part of the university's ongoing 'Development of a Creative and Character Education Model in Partnership with the Community,' aimed to encourage students to utilize design thinking techniques to identify local issues and develop practical solutions. Approximately 80 guests attended the event, including President Nam Sung-hee, Cho Yeon-jae, Director of Policy Planning at the Buk-gu District Office, and Jeon Tae-won, Head of the Early Startup Team at the Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center.

The grand prize went to the Nursing Department's student project, 'Bukgur Marble.' The team's proposal, which combined a tour of Buk-gu's major attractions with a board game, was highly praised for its ability to encourage citizen participation and enhance local publicity.

The Gold Prize went to the Department of Pet Health Management's "Maecheon Market Relocation Site Urban Regeneration Landmark" for its proposal to utilize idle space, and the Department of Nursing's "Daegu Buk-gu Running Spot" for its proposal. Seven other teams also won Silver and Bronze Prizes for their community-focused ideas, including "Buk-gu Public Bicycle Revitalization" and "Health College Alley Revitalization."

Yoon Young-soon, Director of the Convergence Liberal Arts Education Center (Professor of Early Childhood Education), stated, "We will collaborate with local governments to promote follow-up projects so that the excellent ideas discovered through this competition can be translated into actual local policies. We will continue to expand practical educational models that enable students to contribute to the development of their communities."
