【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)가 글로벌 클라우드 기업 아마존웹서비스(Amazon Web Services, 이하 AWS)와 협력해 헬스케어 분야 디지털 전환(AX)을 선도할 전문 인재 양성에 나선다.

대구보건대학교와 AWS는 최근 서울 강남구 센터필드에서 ‘AX 인재 양성 및 C3(Cloud Certification Center) 교육센터 구축을 위한 업무 협력식’을 개최했다고 11일 밝혔다. 협력식에는 남성희 총장을 비롯한 대학 관계자와 AWS 헬스케어 부문 관계자 등 9명이 참석했다.

이번 협력의 핵심은 AWS 공인인증 교육센터인 C3 구축이다. C3 센터는 AI와 클라우드를 융합한 글로벌 표준 교육과 온라인 시험 인프라를 기반으로 공인 자격 취득이 가능한 전문 교육시설이다. 대구보건대학교는 AWS의 공인 교육 커리큘럼과 플랫폼을 도입해 헬스케어 데이터 분석 및 AI 활용 역량을 갖춘 실무형 AX 인재를 체계적으로 양성할 계획이다.

양 기관은 또한 AWS 아카데미(ACADEMY)와 T&C(Training & Certificate) 프로그램을 통해 AI·클라우드 전문 강사 양성과 재학생 대상 글로벌 표준 클라우드 교육을 추진한다. 이를 통해 학생들은 산업 현장에서 즉시 활용 가능한 AWS 공인 자격증 취득 기회를 얻게 되며, 지역 의료·헬스케어 산업의 디지털 전환을 이끌 전문 인력으로 성장할 것으로 기대된다.

대구보건대학교는 2026년 라이프케어산업기술원 및 기업집적지 현장캠퍼스에 C3 센터를 구축해 교육과 산업 현장을 연계한 실습 중심 AX 교육 생태계를 완성할 예정이다. 지역 기반 전문대학이 글로벌 빅테크 기업과 직접 협력해 헬스케어 분야 C3 센터와 AX 교육 인프라를 구축한다는 점에서 주목된다.

남성희 총장은 “AWS와의 협력을 통해 대학의 교육 경쟁력과 브랜드 가치를 동시에 제고하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “헬스케어 분야 디지털 전환을 이끌 핵심 인재를 지역에서 직접 양성해 글로컬 대학으로서의 역할을 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Health College (President Nam Sung-hee) will collaborate with global cloud company Amazon Web Services (AWS) to cultivate specialized talent to lead the digital transformation (AX) in the healthcare sector.

Daegu Health College and AWS announced on the 11th that they recently held a business cooperation ceremony at Centerfield in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to foster AX talent and establish a C3 (Cloud Certification Center) training center. Nine people, including President Nam, university officials, and AWS healthcare division representatives, attended the ceremony.

The core of this collaboration is the establishment of C3, an AWS-authorized training center. The C3 center is a specialized training facility that integrates AI and cloud computing with global standard education and an online testing infrastructure, enabling students to obtain certified qualifications. By adopting AWS's accredited training curriculum and platform, Daegu Health College plans to systematically cultivate practical AX talent equipped with healthcare data analysis and AI utilization capabilities.

The two institutions will also foster AI and cloud-based instructor training and provide global standard cloud education for current students through the AWS Academy and Training & Certificate (T&C) programs. Through these programs, students will have the opportunity to obtain AWS-certified certifications that can be immediately applied in the workplace, and are expected to grow into professionals who will lead the digital transformation of the local medical and healthcare industries.

Daegu Health College plans to establish a C3 Center at the Life Care Industry Technology Institute and the on-site campus of the corporate cluster by 2026, completing a hands-on, hands-on AX (Ax) education ecosystem that connects education and industry. This is noteworthy as a regional vocational college is directly collaborating with a global big tech company to establish a C3 Center and AX (Ax) education infrastructure in the healthcare sector.

President Nam Sung-hee stated, "This collaboration with AWS will provide an opportunity to simultaneously enhance the university's educational competitiveness and brand value. We will strengthen our role as a global university by directly cultivating key talent to lead the digital transformation of the healthcare sector."
