구미시는 30일 시청 대회의실에서 한국공인중개사협회 구미시지회와 ‘전‧월세 계약 모범상담 중개사무소 지정’ 업무협약을 체결하고, 4월부터 무료 상담 및 계약 지원 서비스를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 최근 전세사기 등 부동산 거래 피해가 증가하는 가운데 민·관 협력을 통해 사전 예방 체계를 구축하기 위해 추진됐다.
시는 지역 내 744개 중개사무소를 대상으로 운영 경력과 행정처분 이력 등을 종합 평가해 신뢰도 높은 70개소를 모범상담 중개사무소로 지정했다. 지정된 중개사무소는 시민 누구나 이용할 수 있는 무료 상담 창구로서 계약 과정의 위험 요소를 사전에 점검하고 안전한 거래를 지원하는 역할을 맡는다.
이날 협약식과 함께 현판 전달식도 진행돼 사업의 본격적인 출발을 알렸다. 구미시는 향후 지정 중개사무소에 대한 홍보를 강화하고, 정기적인 교육과 지도·점검을 통해 상담 품질과 책임성을 높일 계획이다.
김재일 한국공인중개사협회 구미시지회장은 “현장의 의견이 반영된 정책인 만큼 공인중개사의 전문성과 윤리의식을 강화해 신뢰받는 부동산 거래 환경 조성에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
김장호 구미시장은 “전세사기 피해가 사회적 문제로 확대되는 상황에서 예방 중심의 민·관 협력이 실질적인 안전망이 될 것”이라며 “시민이 안심하고 거래할 수 있도록 제도와 지원을 지속적으로 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.
