구미시는 지난 3월 31일 구미전자정보기술원에서 ‘2026년 제1회 구미시 창업지원기관 협의회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협의회는 창업 지원기관과 투자기관이 함께 참여해 유망 기업을 발굴하고 기관별 지원을 연계하기 위해 마련됐다. 해당 협의체는 2024년 4월부터 운영돼 현재까지 총 12회 개최되며 지역 창업 생태계의 협력 기반을 구축해왔다.

이날 회의에서는 기업 성장 단계에 맞는 맞춤형 지원 방안을 도출하기 위해 3개 창업기업의 IR(투자유치 발표)이 진행됐다.

㈜크레도우첨단소재는 전기변색 기술을 활용한 스마트 윈도우 핵심 소재를 개발하는 기업으로, 에너지 절감 효과와 건축·모빌리티 분야 적용 가능성을 중심으로 사업화를 추진 중이다.

㈜올컴은 펠티어 반도체 기반 열관리 기술을 적용한 스마트 텀블러를 선보인 기업으로, 음료 온도를 자동으로 유지하고 냉각과 가열을 동시에 구현하는 기술력을 갖췄다. 해당 제품은 CES 2026 혁신상을 수상하며 글로벌 시장에서 경쟁력을 인정받았다.

㈜엘앤와이는 치과용 근관 치료에 사용되는 덴탈팁을 개발·제조하는 의료기기 기업으로, 정밀 사출성형 기술과 클린룸 생산체계를 기반으로 고정밀 제품 양산을 추진하고 있다.

발표 이후에는 각 기관이 보유한 지원 프로그램을 바탕으로 기술개발, 사업화, 자금, 판로, 투자 등 분야별 맞춤형 지원 방안이 논의됐다. 이를 통해 창업기업이 필요로 하는 지원을 한 자리에서 확인하고 연계할 수 있도록 했다.

특히 협의회는 단순 정보 공유를 넘어 기관 간 역할을 분담하고 유기적으로 연계하는 방식으로 운영되며, 창업기업이 초기 단계부터 투자 유치까지 이어질 수 있는 성장 경로를 설계하는 데 중점을 두고 있다.

김장호 구미시장은 “창업기업이 발표를 통해 필요한 지원을 구체화하고 투자로 이어지는 선순환 구조를 만드는 것이 중요하다”며 “기관 간 협력을 바탕으로 창업하기 좋은 환경을 지속적으로 조성하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 구미시 창업지원기관 협의회는 분기별로 운영되며, 유망 창업기업 발굴과 지원 연계를 위한 협력 범위를 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

It possesses the technological capability to automatically maintain beverage temperatures and simultaneously implement cooling and heating. The product received a CES 2026 Innovation Award, recognizing its competitiveness in the global market.

L&Y Co., Ltd. is a medical device company that develops and manufactures dental tips used in root canal treatment. Based on precision injection molding technology and a cleanroom production system, the company is pursuing mass production of high-precision products.

Following the presentations, customized support measures were discussed across various sectors—including technology development, commercialization, funding, sales channels, and investment—based on the support programs held by each participating institution. This facilitated the identification and connection of the support needed by startups in a single location.

In particular, the council operates by going beyond simple information sharing to divide roles among institutions and organically linking them. It focuses on designing growth paths that enable startups to progress from the initial stages to attracting investment. Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, “It is important to create a virtuous cycle where startups can concretize the support they need through presentations and lead to investment,” adding, “We will continue to foster a favorable environment for starting businesses based on cooperation among institutions.”

Meanwhile, the Gumi City Startup Support Institutions Council operates on a quarterly basis and plans to continuously expand the scope of cooperation to identify promising startups and link their support.
