【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구 달서구(구청장 이태훈)는 대곡동 한실마을에 큰골주차장을 준공해 주민들에게 무료 개방했다고 12일 밝혔다.
면적 4,912㎡, 주차면 90면 규모의 큰골주차장은 2020년과 2021년 국토교통부에서 공모하는 개발제한구역 주민지원사업에 선정돼 총 사업비 37억 중 국비 22억 확보로 조성했다.
달서구는 대곡지구 주차난 해소를 위해 지구 개발과 더불어 2019년부터 한동, 한서, 새각단 주차장을 만들었으며 대곡동 한실초등학교 옆 공한지 주차장을 조성하는 등 지역의 주차난 해소를 위해 지속적으로 노력 중이다.
특히 월광수변공원 이용객 주차편의를 위해 도원지 인근에 주차장 4개소에 주차면 453면을 확보했으며, 2025년 주차장 1개소를 추가 마련할 계획이다.
이태훈 달서구청장은 “큰골주차장이 개장돼 대곡동 지역주민의 교통환경이 개선되고, 지역상권 활성화에도 크게 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다"며, 지속적으로 지역의 주차난 해소를 위해 공영주차장 조성에 힘쓰겠다.”고 밝혔다.
