【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=계명대학교 동산의료원(의료원장 조치흠)이 최근 대구도시철도 2호선 문양역 건강테마역사 내에서 ‘어르신 건강드림 의료봉사’를 실시했다고 24일 밝혔다.
이번 의료봉사는 다가오는 계명대 동산의료원 개원 125주년을 기념하고 사회공헌 활동을 통해 봉사, 헌신 의 의료원 설립 이념을 이어가기 위해서 마련되었다.
검사와 상담을 받은 140여명의 어르신들은 동산의료원의 찾아가는 의료봉사에 큰 호응을 보였다. 동산의료원은 이번 행사를 시작으로 올해 11월까지, 노령 유동인구가 많은 문양역에서 매월 셋째 주 금요일 오후 2시에 의료봉사를 지속할 계획이다.
매월 당뇨검사, 치매검사(분기), 암질환 상담, 심뇌혈관질환상담 등 다양한 검사와 상담을 진행해, 노년층 시민들에게 유익한 건강 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
조치흠 동산의료원장은 “의료봉사는 지역민들에게 나눔과 섬김을 실천한다는 계명대 동산의료원의 정체성을 가장 잘 나타낼 수 있는 행사다. 앞으로도 꾸준히 다양한 의료 봉사 프로그램을 통해 지역민의 건강을 챙기는 일에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

It is expected to provide useful health information to elderly citizens by conducting various tests and consultations, such as monthly diabetes tests, dementia tests (quarterly), cancer disease counseling, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease counseling.
