【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 지난 26일 대구 동구에 위치한 라이프케어산업기술원 3층 대강당에서 ‘DOM Complex 기반 헬스테크 특화센터 협의체 교류회’를 개최했다고 27일 밝혔다.

대구보건대학교는 지역 특화 보건의료산업인 치과(Dental), 안경(Optical), 재활·의료(Medical)기기 산업을 기반으로 ‘DOM Complex 헬스테크 특화센터’를 구축하고 있다. 이번 교류회는 재활·의료기기 산업 부문을 중심으로 산학협력 협의체를 구성하고, 교육과정 개발과 기업지원 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 대구보건대학교 이전형 글로컬대학사업단장, 김원기 헬스테크 특화센터장, 한종만 물리치료학과장, 김기철 창업성장지원센터장, 장권욱 대한물리치료사협회 대구시회장, 황훈 메디포랩㈜ 대표 등 산업체와 대학 관계자 등 총 30여 명이 참석했다. 

행사에서는 헬스테크 특화센터 운영을 위한 협의체 구성과 운영 방향에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이루어졌다. 참여 기업과 기관들은 산업 맞춤형 교육과정 개발과 기업지원 프로그램 활성화 방안을 제안하며 실질적인 협력 모델 구축 방안을 모색했다. 

라이프케어산업기술원은 2022년 4월 준공된 저출산·고령사회 대비 LIFE CARE 산업 기반 시설로, 글로컬대학30 프로젝트 선정 이후 DOM Complex 특화센터의 거점 기지로 운영될 예정이다.

이전형 글로컬대학사업단장(49·물리치료학과 교수)은 “이번 교류회를 계기로 재활·의료기기 산업 부문의 교육과정 개발과 기업지원 방안을 보다 체계적으로 논의할 수 있었다”며, “향후 지속적인 협력을 통해 특화센터 운영이 산업 현장과 연계된 실질적인 성과를 창출할 수 있도록 지원을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Health College is building the ‘DOM Complex Health Tech Specialized Center’ based on the regional specialized health and medical industries of dental, optical, and rehabilitation/medical devices. This exchange meeting was organized to form an industry-academia cooperation council centered on the rehabilitation/medical device industry and discuss curriculum development and corporate support measures.

The event was attended by approximately 30 people including Daegu Health College Global University Business Group Director Lee Jeon-hyeong, Health Tech Specialized Center Director Kim Won-gi, Physical Therapy Department Director Han Jong-man, Startup Growth Support Center Director Kim Ki-cheol, Daegu Chapter President Jang Kwon-wook of the Korean Physical Therapy Association, and Medipo Lab CEO Hwang Hoon, along with industry and university officials.

The event included in-depth discussions on the composition of a consultative body for the operation of the Health Tech Specialized Center and its operational direction. Participating companies and organizations proposed ways to develop industry-tailored educational courses and activate corporate support programs, and explored ways to build a practical cooperation model.

The Life Care Industry Technology Institute is a LIFE CARE industrial infrastructure facility for low birth rate and aging society that was completed in April 2022, and is scheduled to be operated as a base for the DOM Complex Specialized Center after being selected for the Global University 30 Project.

The former head of the Global University Business Group (49, Professor of Physical Therapy) said, “Through this exchange meeting, we were able to discuss more systematically the development of educational courses and corporate support plans in the rehabilitation and medical device industry sectors,” and “Through continued cooperation in the future, we will strengthen our support so that the operation of specialized centers can create tangible results linked to industrial sites.”
