이번 교류전에는 한국과 일본 양국의 초·중·고 선수 및 지도자 약 250명이 참가해 무더운 날씨 속에서도 뜨거운 열정과 페어플레이 정신을 발휘하며 관중들의 큰 박수를 받았다.

특히, 도쿄·오사카·규슈 등 일본 주요 지역에서 온 청소년 80여 명이 참여했으며, 전날에는 국가대표팀 선수들로부터 직접 지도를 받는 ‘플래그풋볼 클리닉’이 열려 참가자들에게 특별한 추억을 안겼다.

플래그풋볼은 오는 2028년 LA올림픽 정식 종목으로 채택되며 국제적인 주목을 받고 있는 종목이다. 이번 교류전을 계기로 군위군 내 초·중·고교에서는 오는 2학기부터 정규 체육수업에 플래그풋볼이 보급될 예정이며, 지역은 플래그풋볼의 거점지로 부상하고 있다.
