군위군은 재작년 태풍 ‘카눈’으로 큰 피해를 입은 경험을 토대로, 국지성 호우로 인한 복합재난 상황을 가정해 인명과 재산 피해를 최소화하고 실제 대응 역량을 점검했다. 훈련은 재난안전대책본부 가동과 현장 대응을 실시간으로 연계한 토론형 및 현장 통합연계훈련으로 진행됐다.
토론훈련은 김진열 군수 주재로 군청 재난안전상황실에서 실시됐으며, 국지성 호우로 인한 피해 상황 판단 회의 및 재난안전대책본부 운영 절차를 점검했다. 이어 배춘식 부군수 주재로 진행된 현장훈련에서는 군위생활체육공원 주차장과 위천 일원에서 초동 대응, 통합지원본부 운영, 유관기관 간 수습·복구 협력 등을 실제 상황처럼 훈련했다.
김진열 군수는 “최근 예측하기 어려운 재난이 빈번하게 발생하고 있어 사전 대비의 중요성이 더욱 커지고 있다”며 “이번 훈련을 통해 관계기관 간 협업체계를 공고히 하고, 실질적인 대응 역량을 강화해 군민의 생명과 재산을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
