올해 청도군이 매입하는 공공비축미 품종은 ‘일품’과 ‘삼광’ 2종으로, 매입 규모는 건조벼 1,216톤과 산물벼 968톤 등 총 2,184톤에 달한다. 지난해와 비교해 안정적 수매 물량을 확보함으로써 지역 농업 안정화 효과가 기대된다.

수매 대금 지급 방식은 매입 직후 포대당 4만 원의 중간정산금을 우선 지급하고, 최종 정산금은 매입가격 확정 후 오는 12월 31일까지 지급할 계획이다. 군은 신속한 정산 절차를 통해 농가의 자금 운영 부담을 최소화한다는 방침이다.

다만, 매입 대상이 아닌 품종의 벼를 출하한 농가는 향후 5년간 공공비축미 매입 대상에서 제외되는 규정이 적용된다. 이에 따라 군은 농가에 매입 품종 재배 및 출하 기준을 준수할 것을 당부했다.

김하수 청도군수는 “올해 벼 재배 과정에서 깨씨무늬병, 도복, 수발아 등 기상·환경 요인으로 어려움이 컸음에도 품질 높은 쌀 생산에 힘써주신 농업인 여러분께 감사드린다”며 “농업인들의 노력이 정당하게 보상받을 수 있도록 행정적·재정적 지원을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

청도군은 향후 수확기 농산물 수급 안정 대책, 저장시설 운영 효율화, 고품질 쌀 브랜드 경쟁력 강화 사업 등을 연계해 지역 쌀 산업 기반을 더욱 강화할 계획이다.
