【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 지난 26일부터 30일까지 교내 연마관 치기공학과 실습실에서 인도네시아 자카르타 보건산업기술대학Ⅱ 재학생 20여 명을 초청해 ‘치기공 역량 강화 교육’을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 연수는 대구보건대학교가 수행 중인 ‘국제협력선도대학 육성지원사업(ODA)’의 일환으로, 그동안 협력대학 교원을 중심으로 이뤄지던 기술 교류를 현지 대학 재학생까지 확대한 첫 사례라는 점에서 의미를 더한다.

참가 학생들은 5일간 ‘디지털 CAD/CAM 기공학’을 주제로 한 집중 교육을 이수했다. 해당 교육과정은 대구보건대가 개발해 2025년부터 협력대학의 정규 교육과정에 반영돼 운영 중인 프로그램으로, 학생들은 한국의 최신 CAD/CAM 시스템을 활용해 치아 손상 부위를 보완·연결해 기능을 회복하는 관교의치의 디자인과 제작 과정을 실습 중심으로 익혔다.

이번에 초청된 학생들은 자카르타 보건산업기술대학Ⅱ에서 한국어를 정규 과정으로 이수 중인 ‘인터내셔널 클래스’ 소속으로, 대학 측은 이번 연수가 향후 우수 유학생 유치와 글로벌 보건 인재 양성으로 이어질 것으로 기대하고 있다.

김경용 대구보건대 국제교류처장(사회복지학과 교수)은 “이번 프로그램은 본교가 개발한 교육과정이 현지 대학에 적용된 이후, 학생들이 직접 방문해 심화 교육을 받은 데 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 양 대학 간 긴밀한 협력을 바탕으로 글로벌 보건 인재 양성을 위한 교류 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Health College Invites Indonesian University Students to "Dental Technician Capacity Building Training"

Daegu Health College (President Nam Sung-hee) announced that it hosted approximately 20 students from Jakarta University of Health Industry and Technology II in Indonesia for a "Dental Technician Capacity Building Training" in the dental technology lab at the on-campus dental training center from the 26th to the 30th.

This training program, part of Daegu Health College's "Leading International Cooperation University Development Support Project (ODA)," is significant in that it marks the first time that technology exchange, previously focused on faculty at partner universities, has been expanded to include students at local universities.

The participating students completed five days of intensive training on "Digital CAD/CAM Dental Technology." This curriculum, developed by Daegu Health College and incorporated into the regular curriculum of partner universities starting in 2025, provided hands-on experience in the design and fabrication of crown dentures, which repair and connect damaged teeth to restore function. Using Korea's latest CAD/CAM systems, the students learned the design and fabrication process of bridge dentures.

The students invited this time are members of the "International Class" program, currently enrolled in the Korean language program at Jakarta University of Health Industry and Technology II. The university anticipates that this training program will lead to the recruitment of outstanding international students and the cultivation of global health professionals.

Kim Kyung-yong, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Professor of Social Welfare at Daegu Health University, stated, "This program is highly significant as it allows students to directly visit and receive in-depth training after the curriculum developed by our university has been implemented at a local university." He added, "We will continue to expand exchange programs to cultivate global health professionals based on close cooperation between our two universities."
