【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)가 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업을 기반으로 성인학습자 중심의 평생·직업교육 혁신 모델 구축에 본격 착수했다.

대학은 지난 3월 20일 글로벌 교육컨설팅 기관 미국 About Learning, Inc.와 교육 전문기업 ㈜폴앤마크와 함께 ‘대학 평생·직업교육 혁신을 위한 글로벌 산·학·연 컨소시엄 협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 대학과 글로벌 교육기관, 산업체 간 협력 체계를 구축해 기존 이론 중심 교육에서 벗어나 직무역량 기반의 실무형 교육체계를 마련하는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다. 특히 학습부터 현장실무, 취업, 글로벌 진출로 이어지는 전주기 교육 모델을 구현함으로써 성인학습자의 경력 전환과 고용 가능성을 높일 것으로 기대된다.

협약에 참여한 About Learning, Inc.는 4MAT(Method for Adaptive Teaching) 학습모형을 기반으로 글로벌 기업 및 교육기관과 협력해 온 교육컨설팅 기관이며, ㈜폴앤마크는 대기업과 대학을 대상으로 직무역량 중심 교육과정을 설계·운영해 온 전문기업이다.

대구한의대학교는 이번 협약을 통해 4MAT 학습모형을 평생·직업교육 전반에 적용하고, 프로젝트 기반 학습(PBL), 현장실습, 인턴십 등을 연계한 통합형 교육과정을 구축할 계획이다. 이를 통해 산업 수요에 부합하는 실무형 인재를 양성하고 성인학습자의 취업 경쟁력을 강화한다는 전략이다.

또한 해당 교육 모델은 RISE 사업과 연계해 지역과 대학, 산업이 유기적으로 연결된 인재양성 체계를 고도화하는 사례로 평가되며, 향후 타 대학으로의 확산 가능성도 주목된다.

김진숙 평생교육지원센터장은 “이번 협약은 성인학습자의 진로 설계부터 취업, 나아가 글로벌 진출까지 연계되는 교육 모델 구축의 기반”이라며 “직무역량 중심의 교육 혁신을 통해 평생교육의 질적 전환을 이끌어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Hani University (President Byun Chang-hoon) has officially embarked on establishing an innovation model for lifelong and vocational education centered on adult learners, based on the Regional Innovation Center University Support System (RISE) project.

The university announced that on March 20, it signed a "Global Industry-Academic-Research Consortium Agreement for Innovation in University Lifelong and Vocational Education" with About Learning, Inc., a U.S.-based global education consulting firm, and Paul & Mark, an education specialist company.

This agreement focuses on establishing a cooperative framework between the university, global educational institutions, and industries to move away from traditional theory-centered education and create a practical, job-competency-based education system. In particular, by implementing a full-cycle education model that extends from learning to on-the-job training, employment, and global expansion, it is expected to enhance the career transitions and employability of adult learners.

About Learning, Inc., a participant in the agreement, is an educational consulting firm that has collaborated with global companies and educational institutions based on the 4MAT (Method for Adaptive Teaching) learning model, while Paul & Mark Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that has designed and operated job competency-centered educational programs for large corporations and universities.

Through this agreement, Daegu Hani University plans to apply the 4MAT learning model to its entire lifelong and vocational education system and establish an integrated curriculum linked with Project-Based Learning (PBL), field practice, and internships. The strategy is to cultivate practical talents that meet industrial demands and strengthen the employability of adult learners.

Furthermore, this educational model is evaluated as an example of advancing a talent development system that organically connects the region, the university, and industry in conjunction with the RISE project, and its potential for expansion to other universities in the future is also drawing attention. Kim Jin-sook, Director of the Lifelong Education Support Center, stated, “This agreement lays the foundation for establishing an educational model that connects adult learners’ career planning, employment, and even global expansion,” adding, “We will lead a qualitative transformation of lifelong education through job competency-centered educational innovation.”
