【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)는 지난 2일 라오스 수파누봉국립대학교 부총장을 비롯한 방문단이 본교를 찾아 한국어 교육 확대와 양 대학 간 협력 강화를 위한 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문에는 웡빠씻 짠타쿤 수파누봉국립대학교 부총장과 텅캄 훙싸왇 언어학부 부학장, 쏨싸닏 쑤왇뭉쿤 한국어학과 학과장, 김기락 영덕주민자치위원회 위원장 등이 참석했다. 대구한의대학교에서는 이채식 교학부총장과 변귀남 글로벌한국어학과 학과장을 비롯한 관계자들이 방문단을 맞이했다.

양 대학은 이번 회의를 통해 라오스 현지에서 증가하고 있는 한국어 교육 수요에 대응하기 위한 협력 방안을 집중 논의했다. 특히 대학과 지방자치단체가 연계한 한국어 교육 모델 구축과 현지 한국어 교육 프로그램 확대, 학생 및 교원 교류 활성화를 위한 실질적인 협력 방안을 모색했다.

이채식 교학부총장은 “이번 만남이 상호 이해와 신뢰를 바탕으로 양 대학 간 지속적인 교류의 토대를 다지는 계기가 되길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 교육과 지역이 함께 성장할 수 있는 협력 기반을 차분히 넓혀가겠다”고 말했다.

변귀남 글로벌한국어학과 학과장은 “한국어 교육은 단순한 언어 기능 습득을 넘어 서로의 삶과 문화를 이해하는 인문학적 과정”이라며 “이번 협의가 대학 간 교류를 넘어 지역과 세계를 연결하는 실질적인 협력의 출발점이 되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

대구한의대학교는 앞으로도 영덕군 및 해외 협력대학과의 긴밀한 연대를 바탕으로 한국어 교육 국제화를 확대하고, 외국인 유학생 유치를 위한 교육 협력 기반을 지속적으로 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

Daegu Hani University plans to continue expanding the internationalization of Korean language education and continuously strengthening the foundation for educational cooperation to attract international students, based on close solidarity with Yeongdeok-gun and partner universities abroad.
