【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 경찰행정학과(학과장 신성원)는 지난 10일 대구국제사격장에서 재학생들을 대상으로 실탄사격 실습과 서바이벌 체험 프로그램을 운영하며 현장 중심 교육을 강화했다.

이번 프로그램은 경찰 직무 수행에 필요한 실무 역량과 위기 대응 능력을 체계적으로 향상시키기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 학생들은 사격장 안전교육을 시작으로 사격 자세와 조준, 격발 등 기본 사격술을 전문 지도자의 지도 아래 단계적으로 익힌 뒤 실제 권총을 활용한 실탄사격을 직접 체험했다.

특히 서바이벌 체험 프로그램도 함께 진행돼 학생들은 팀 단위 작전 수행을 경험하며 협동심과 상황 판단 능력을 동시에 기르는 실전형 교육에 참여했다. 이 같은 체험 중심 수업은 학생들로부터 높은 호응을 얻었다.

신성원 경찰행정학과 학과장은 “이번 프로그램은 학생들이 경찰 현장에서 요구되는 사격 능력과 전술적 사고를 직접 체득할 수 있도록 기획된 교육 과정”이라며 “이론과 실습을 유기적으로 연계한 교육을 통해 현장 대응 역량을 갖춘 전문 인재 양성에 지속적으로 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

프로그램에 참여한 김대용 학생회장은 “강의실에서 배우던 내용을 실제 현장에서 적용해 볼 수 있어 매우 의미 있는 경험이었다”며 “특히 팀원들과 협력하며 진행한 서바이벌 체험을 통해 경찰 업무에 필요한 협동심과 판단력을 실질적으로 기를 수 있었다”고 소감을 전했다.

한편 대구한의대학교 경찰행정학과는 실무 중심 교육과 다양한 비교과 프로그램 운영을 통해 경찰 및 공공안전 분야에 특화된 전문 인재 양성에 주력하고 있다.
