대구시는 국토교통부가 주관하는 21년도 하반기 도시재생사업 공모에 도시재생 인정사업 2개소 및 도시재생 예비사업 2개소가 선정됐다고 16일 밝혔다.

도시재생 인정사업은 도시재생전략계획상 지역별 재생방향에 부합하는 소규모 점 단위 개발사업에 국비·주택도시기금 등을 지원하는 사업이다.

이번에 선정된 2개소의 도시재생 인정사업은 오는 2025년까지 총 614억 9천 4백만 원이 순차 투입돼 사업이 추진된다.

달서구 성당동 ‘한마음 어울림센터 조성’ 사업은 코로나19로 인한 집단 자가격리 아파트인 한마음아파트 재건축 사업과 연계해 전국 최초로 주거재생특화형 재생사업으로도 함께 선정됐다.

지역의 부정적 인식 전환, 노후 주거지역 정비, 시 정책사업 추진을 위한 공간 조성 및 지역주민 생활SOC 시설을 공급할 예정이다.

수성구 황금2동 ‘황금 다함께어울림센터 조성’ 사업은 황금2동 행정복지센터 후적지를 활용해 다함께돌봄센터, 어르신들의 일자리 역량지원을 위한 인생2막 센터 및 청춘카페, 수어통역센터, 주민공동체의 체험·소통·교류 지원시설 등을 조성해 지역주민 누구나 연령, 조건 구분 없이 이용할 수 있는 열린 공간을 조성한다.

도시재생 예비사업은 도시재생 뉴딜사업의 준비사업 성격으로 주민 공동체에 도시재생 사업을 추진할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 소규모 재생사업이다.

이번 공모에서 달서구 상인2동 ‘상상과 일상이 어우러진 상상이상 멋진 마을’, 달성군 논공읍 남2리 ‘多함께 사는 우리가 남2家’ 사업이 선정됐다.

대구시는 지난 9월 동구 불로동, 서구 평리동 도시재생 뉴딜사업 선정에 이어 이번 공모 선정으로 2017년부터 선정된 17곳을 포함, 총 21곳에 7천 415억 원을 투자해 도시재생 뉴딜사업을 추진하며 도시재생 사업을 내실 있게 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

권영진 대구시장은 “도시재생사업을 통해 도시의 활력을 회복하고 사업의 효과와 이익이 그 지역에 환원되는 지속가능한 도시재생을 위해 추진 중인 사업의 내실화는 물론, 시민과 함께 매력 있는 도시 구현을 위한 창조적인 대구형 도시재생사업을 계속 발굴해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
