【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구 달서구(구청장 이태훈)는 지난 13일 거동불편 저소득 어르신 100명에게 실버카(보행보조기) 지원 전달식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
'희망의 실버카 전달식'은 생애 주기형 맞춤형 복지사업으로 지난 2014년부터 8년간 1,146여명의 어르신에게 실버카를 지원했다.
이번 전달식은 삼익신협(이사장 박종식)이 노인복지 증진을 위해 사용해달라며 기탁한 1,100만원으로 마련됐다.
저소득 어르신 100명은 동 행정복지센터와 종합사회복지관(7개소)의 추천을 통해 선정했다.
삼익신협 박종식 이사장은 “보행불편으로 외출이 어려운 어르신들의 생활에 활력을 불어넣는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회 복지증진을 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이태훈 달서구청장은 “실버카가 안전한 바깥출입을 위한 든든한 다리가 되어 어르신들에게 큰 힘이 될 것"이라며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
