대구대학교 간호대학이 ‘간호대학 승격’을 기념하는 현판식을 개최했다.
대구대는 지난 2010년 간호학과를 개설한 후 빠르게 발전하여 기존 학부제에서 올해 2022학년도에는 별도의 단과대학인 간호대학으로 승격시켰다.
지난 10일 대명동 캠퍼스 본관 1층 라운지에서 열린 이번 행사는 박상규 대구대 총장직무대행, 최석진 대구시간호사회장, 전은영 간호대학장, 장순양 간호학과장, 전·현직 교수 및 재학생 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행되었다.
대구대 간호대학은 매년 100%에 가까운 취업률을 기록하고 있다. 또한, 높은 수준의 임상실습 교육을 위해 서울·대구에 소재한 최상위급 병원에서 실습 교육을 실시하고, 매년 국내·외 현장실습을 통해 학생들에게 비전을 심어주면서 전문성을 신장시키는 것이 강점이다.
졸업생들은 국내·외 병원 간호사, 공무원, 간호장교, 공공기관(건강보험 심사평가원, 건강보험공단), 대학원 진학 등 다양한 분야에 진출하고 있으며, 근무하는 각 병원에서는 우수 직원상 수상 등 전문가로서의 역량도 발휘하고 있다.
전은영 간호대학장은 환영사를 통해 “열정으로 가르쳐 주신 교수님들과 성실하게 따라온 학생들에게 감사의 마음을 전한다”면서 “사랑·빛·자유의 정신으로 건학이념을 실천하고 지역사회를 넘어 글로벌 리더를 양성하는 명문 간호대학이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
