【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구시 물산업 대표단이 13일부터 15일까지 2박 3일간 미국 샌안토니오에서 개최되는 세계 최대 규모의 미국 수도전시회( ACE 2022)에 참가한다고 밝혔다.
대구시 물산업 대표단은 대구시, 상수도사업본부를 비롯한 14개 물기업, 한국물기술인증원, 한국환경공단 등 유관기관 포함 32명으로 구성돼 있다.
대표단은 한국-대구관 공동전시관을 마련해 홍보, 세계 물기술 동향을 파악하고, 물기업 매칭 및 물기업 진출방안 모색하고 글로벌 네트워크를 강화할 예정이다.
대구시가 이번 ACE 2022 전시회에 환경부와 함께 설치·운영하는 한국-대구관 공동 전시관에는 지역 물기업 9개 사(공동부스 8, 개별부스 1)가 참여하며, 해외 바이어 상담 및 관계자 초청 네트워크, 국내 물기술 홍보의 장으로 활용할 예정이다.
한국-대구관에는 밸브, 수질계측기, 액추에이터, 수충격 방지장치, 산업용 내시경 등 기업제품 전시부스를 설치해 운영할 수 있도록 대구시가 적극 지원하고, 그 외 3개 기업(중 지역기업 1개 사)이 개별부스를 별도로 설치 운영한다.
ACE 2022 기간 동안에는 제2차 한-미 상수도 기술협력 회의, 부스 리셉션 및 네트워킹, 전문가 세션(5개 기업 참가), 세미나, 관계기관(WEF, WRF, EPA)과 미팅 등을 통해 네트워크를 강화하고 올해 11월 개최 예정인 대한민국 국제물주간(KIWW) 및 제3회 세계물클러스터 리더스포럼 등 대구시 주최 국제행사를 홍보할 예정이다.
이승대 대구시 혁신성장국장은 “물기업 성장 및 해외진출 활성화를 위한 물산업클러스터 인프라와 통합지원체계 강화를 통해 대구가 물산업 허브 도시인 것을 전 세계에 알리고 많은 물기업들이 쉽게 해외에 진출할 수 있도록 제도적 경제적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
