【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구시는 다가오는 여름방학 기간 동안 미디어(인터넷, 스마트폰) 과의존으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 청소년들을 대상으로 ‘청소년 인터넷 스스로 캠프’를 운영한다고 14일 밝혔다.
지난 4월 전국적으로 실시한 ‘2022년 청소년 인터넷·스마트폰 이용습관 진단조사’ 결과에 따르면 인터넷과 스마트폰 중 하나 이상에서 과의존 위험군에 해당하는 청소년은 응답 학생의 18.8%에 달하는 23만 5천여 명에 이르는 것으로 매년 증가 추세이다.
이에 대구시는 다양한 체험활동과 인터넷·스마트폰을 대체할 수 있는 대안 활동, 개인 및 집단 상담, 가족 캠프, 부모교육 등의 프로그램을 통해 미디어 과의존 문제를 해소하는 데 도움을 주고자 지난 2012년부터 매년 인터넷·스마트폰 치유캠프를 운영하고있다.
이번 캠프는 여자 청소년(16명)은 군위군 청소년수련원, 남자 청소년(24명)은 국립청도숲체험원에서 진행되며 여자 청소년은 오는 25일부터 7월 30일까지 5박 6일, 남자 청소년은 8월 1일부터 8월 12일까지 11박 12일 일정으로 운영된다.
신청한 청소년과 부모를 대상으로 사전 심리검사 및 면담이 진행되고, 치유캠프가 종료된 이후에도 지속적인 상담과 필요한 서비스를 사후 지원할 계획이다.
조윤자 대구시 여성청소년교육국장은 “이번 인터넷·스마트폰 치유캠프를 통해 청소년이 바람직한 미디어 사용 습관을 형성하고, 자기 스스로 미디어 사용을 조절할 수 있는 능력이 함양되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
