지난 14일 대경대 간호학과 재학생 85명은 함께하는 together 현장체험 학습 프로그램으로 2022 대구 정신건강축제에 참여했다고 17일 밝혔다.
대학에 따르면 함께하는 together 현장체험 학습 프로그램은 페어, 박람회, 전시회 등 다양한 현장직무 체험학습을 통해 직무역량을 강화하고 취업 경쟁력을 고취하기 위해 실시되고 있다.
이를 통해 행사에 참석한 학생들은 스스로가 가지고 있는 적응 기제가 무엇인지에 대해 배우고 알맞은 대처방식을 이해하면서 개인역량을 강화하는 시간을 가졌다.
간호학과 2학년 김선우 학생은 “정신건강에 대해 생각하면 좀 무섭고 피하고 싶다는 생각이 있었는데 이번 계기로 인식개선이 되었고 관심도 높아졌다.”면서 “육체적인 건강 뿐만 아니라정신 건강도 소홀히 하지 않아야겠다는 생각이 들었다.” 라고 말했다.
지도를 맡은 이경자 간호학과 교수는 “대학일자리 플러스 사업 (함께하는 together 현장체험 학습 프로그램)의 지원을 받아 학생들이 다양한 부스 체험을 원활하게 진행할 수 있었다.”면서 “간호라는 업무 특성상 스트레스 관리가 필수인데 이번 체험이 학생들의 정신건강에 도움이 되었기를 바란다.”고 말했다.
