【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=울릉도를 찾는 관광객이 독도에 잠시 머물 수 있는 방안이 필요하다는 주장이 제기됐다.

경북도의회 독도수호특별위원회(위원장 허복) 김희수 위원은 제336회 경상북도의회 제2차 정례회 첫 날인 7일 열린 제2차 독도수호특별위원회에서 이같이 주장했다. 

김 위원은 “독도에 대한 영유권 강화를 위해 도 차원에서 할 수 있는 부분을 찾아서 추진하고, 중앙정부와 협력할 부분은 협력하는 등 투트랙으로 진행하는 것이 좋겠다”며 “무엇보다 울릉도 항공노선 취항을 앞두고 있는 상황에서 (관광객들이) 독도에 잠시 머무를 수 있는 방안 마련이 필요하다”고 강조했다.

현재 독도는 날씨 상황에 따라서 접도가 이뤄지고 있지만, 대부분 먼 발치에서 바라만 보고 뒤돌아서야 하는 경우가 다반사다. 김 위원의 지적은 이같은 상황을 의식한 것으로 풀이된다. 

김희수 위원 외에 김진엽 위원(포항)은 독도를 학교 내 수학여행지로 검토하는 방안과 독도 관련 유사‧중복성 있는 사업의 통합 추진을 당부했다. 

김용현 위원(구미)은 중앙부처와의 독도 관련 회의에서 경북이 조금 더 적극적인 자세가 필요하다는 지적과 더불어 명예주민증 발급체계에 대해서도 입도객 전원을 대상으로 현장에서 즉석으로 발급하고 홍보하는 방안을 주문했다 

이밖에 연규식 위원은 일반인들의 독고 영상 실시간 청취 방안을, 이철식 위원은 독도박물관과 안영복 기념관의 역할 및 내실을 주문하고  e-독도수호원정대와 독도 민간단체 관리에 만전을 기해달라고 당부했다.

울릉이 지역구인 남진복 위원은 독도재단의 폭넓은 역할에 대한 분발을 당부하고, 독도안전지원센터로 전환 추진에 대하여 고무적인 입장을 나타내며“독도방파제 구축사업도 성과를 낼 수 있도록 노력해 달라”고 덧붙였다.  

조용진 부위원장(김천)은 학술세미나의 부족을, 허복 위원장(구미)은 독도 관련 사업비(예산)의 적극적인 반영 노력을 당부했다. 

한편, 특위의 이날 회의는 특위 구성 이후 독도에 대한 조직 구성과 주요 업무파악을 위한 첫 번째 의정활동으로, 회의에서는 독도수호와 영토주권 강화를 위한 해양수산국(독도해양정책과)과 (재)독도재단의 그 동안의 추진 성과와 향후 계획을 보고받았다.

Vice Chairman Cho Yong-jin (Gimcheon) asked for the lack of academic seminars, and Chairman Huh Bok (Gumi) asked for active reflection of Dokdo-related project expenses (budget).
