옥외광고물 양성화는 수량이나 규격 등 규정에 적합함에도 허가나 신고를 하지 않았거나, 기존 허가 기간이 만료되었음에도 연장 신고를 하지 않은 고정광고물에 대해 사후 허가·신고를 거쳐 적법화 하는 조치다.
양성화 대상 주요 광고물은 벽면이용간판, 돌출간판, 지주이용간판 등이며 자진신고는 주민의 부담 완화를 위해 옥외광고물 표시 허가·연장 신청서, 간판 사진 등 간소화된 서류를 첨부, 구청 도시재생과로 신청하면 된다.
자진신고 기간 내 신고하지 않은 불법 광고물에 대해서는 집중 단속 후 자진철거 또는 행정처분을 조치할 방침이다.
중구청 관계자는 “불법광고물의 자진 신고기간을 운영하여 간판 신고의무에 대한 인식을 개선하고 불법광고물을 근절할 좋은 기회다”며 “옥외광고물의 실효적 관리와 안전사고 예방, 아름다운 도심 미관을 조성하기 위해 적극 신고해주시기 바란다”고 밝혔다.
