전당대회 최종 투표율은 55.1%. 높기는 했지만 기대했던 만큼은 아니었다. 투표는 총 83만 7천 236명 중 당 대표 선거에 46만 3천 313명이 투표해 55.1%라는 투표율을 기록했다. 최고위원 투표는 45만 7천 038명이 투표에 참여 54.59%를 나타났다. 또, 청년 최고위원은 45만 3천 255명이 투표, 54.14%의 투표율을 기록했다.

결선은 없었다. 당 대표 선거에서 김기현 후보는 1차에서 52.93%를 획득해 당당히 대표 입성에 성공했다. 뒤를 이어 안철수 23.37%, 천하람 14.98%, 황교안 8.72%를 각각 획득했다. 

최고위원은 김재원 의원이 17.55%로 가장 많은 득표를 했고, 그 뒤로 김병민 16.10%, 조수진 13.18%, 태영호 13.11%, 민영삼 11.08%, 김용태 10.87%, 허은아 9.90%, 정미경 8.21% 순으로 나타났다. 

청년 최고위원은 장예찬 후보가 월등하게 앞섰다. 장 당선자가 55.16%를 기록한 반면, 김가람 후보는 12.47%, 김정식 13.66%, 이기인 18.71%를 기록하며 최고위원 도전에 실패했다.

김기현 "이제는 하나 되어 똘똘 뭉칠 때 총선승리와 민생은 나의 책임과 의무"

수락 연설에서 김기현 당 대표 당선자는 “이제 우리는 하나다. 하나로 똘똘 뭉쳐 내년 총선 압승을 이루자”고 말했다. 그는 당선된 최고위원과 청년 최고위원의 이름을 일일이 거명하면서 “경선은 끝이 났다. 우리는 오직 하나의 목표로 달려가야 한다. 그 목표는 첫째도 둘째도 셋째도 민생”이라며 “당 대표는 권리라기보다 책임과 의무를 지닌 자리라고 생각한다. 윤석열 정부와 국민의 성공을 완성 시킬 책임과 의무가 있는 자리다. 여기 계신 안철수, 황교안, 천하람 후보님들과 우리의 뛰어난 지도자들을 잘 모시고 연대와 포용과 탕평의 연포탕...대통합 국민의힘을 만들겠다”고 강조했다.

그러면서 “이제 우리는 여당의 실력을 보여줘야 한다. 능력이 있는 모습, 국민의 신뢰하는 정당을 만들어야 한다”고 강조하고 “내가 해야 할 일 잘 알고 있다. 희생하고 섬기는 대표, 당원을 주인으로 모시는 대표가 되겠다. 다함께 손잡고 국민의힘 성공 시대를 만들어 가자”고 목소리를 높였다.

이어진 최고위원 당선자들도 하나같이 윤석열 정부의 성공과 총선 승리를 강조했다. 김재원 당선자는 “당원들을 하늘처럼 모시면서 총선서 승리하고, 대선서 승리하고, 항상 승리할 수 있도록 이 한 몸 다 바치겠다”고 외쳤다. 

김병민 당선자도 “감사하다. 윤석열 정부 반드시 성공시키고 총선 승리하라고 힘을 주신 것으로 알고, 내년 총선 혁신 바람을 일으키고 총선 승리해 윤 정부 반드시 성공시키겠다”고 다짐했다.

당선이 확정되는 순간, 목이 메어오면서 특별한 감정에 복받쳤던 태영호 후보는 잠시동안 말을 잇지 못하다가 “당원동지 여러분이 대한민국 통일 앞당기는 데 기적 만들어냈다”며 “ 7년 전 자유를 찾아 대한민국 왔을 때 아는 사람 한 사람도 없었는데 대한민국은 나를 품어줬다, 아는 당원 한 명도 없었는데, 오늘 저를 믿어주시고 최고위원을 만들어 주셨다. 그 믿음 잊지않고 한반도 자유 민주주의 통일이 이뤄지는 날까지 목숨 걸고 싸우겠다.”고 외쳤다. 이어 그는“너무나 과분한 믿음 감사하다”며 큰 절을 한 뒤, 7년 전 대한민국에 처음 도착했을 때 본인이 외쳤던 “자유 민주주의 대한민국 만세”외에 “국민의힘 만세”를 새로 외쳤다.
